Paradise Re-found

Being bored at my parent's house, I went for a drive.  I ended up going deeper into Kisatchie National Forest and basically getting lost in the next parish over.  I was able to take only three pictures before my camera's battery died.


After the drive through the country, I headed to Super Wal-mart.  Being the only one in the parish, it is THE place to be on a Sunday evening.  I looked like crap: nappy bedhead, T-shirt with bleach stains and raggedy shorts.  I think that Minden's Wal-mart is one of the few places where I can look my worst and still feel over-dressed. 

Time for Desparate Housewives...

Sundays are the only days where I don't to drive to Shreveport for my jobs.  I intentionally stay in Minden and take it easy (and try to save on gas money).

I think I've officially rested too much.  I woke up at my normal early time.  I had breakfast and stayed up until 11:00am.  I took a nap for 2 hours.  Ate lunch.  Watched Jurassic Park III (this is when the boredom started).  Then I wanted to go for a walk out in the forest behind our house.  Five minutes into the walk, I was hearing constant gun fire.  Seeing how I was wearing a green shirt and brown shorts, I quickly turned.  Damn hunters!  Back at the house, I started watching 101 Sexiest Celebrities.  This got me depressed.  After that I turned the channel to start watching Sleepy Hollow.  But instead there was a baseball game on.  It was the bottom of the ninth inning and tied 7 to 7.  The game is in overtime.  Then it occurred to me.  People still watch baseball.  I don't understand it.  This has got to be the most boring sport to watch.  In the 11th inning, it's still 7 oto 7.  You'd think that the fans in the stadium would be going crazy at the heightened excitement.  But, alas, they seem to be just as bored as I am.  

Alright, before I fall asleep, I gonna head out and do the only thing that there is to do in Minden:  Super Wal-mart!
