International Christmas

So this was my first Christmas without my family which was a little sad.  I was feeling REALLY homesick yesterday until I called them and then I was much better.  Both my roommates are gone to their hometowns in other parts of The Netherlands.  But I wasn't alone last night.  My co-worker Sean invited all the tour guides and some other friends and stuff to his house and we had a nice dinner.  It was a big international party and we all had different accents.  We were from all over the world: Louisiana/Texas, Wisconsin/Florida, Chile, Argentina, England, Ireland, The Netherlands and Australia were represented.  We also went through several bottles of wine - each from a different country as well: France, Italy, Chile and Argentina.  We ended up talking until almost 1:30am.  We got into a few deep discussions and surprisingly, with all the diversity there, we seemed to have a lot of the same views about things (or we were all just really open and didn't care).  But it was a great end to a day that started off with me being depressed.
