YAY!

I decided to turn down the job in China.  I just couldn't sign away 2 years of my life to live in a place that I haven't even visited yet.  So I had to say no.

Yesterday I had an interview with a school in Garland (DFW).  They offered me the job teaching Geometry.  This is really nice because it's a subject that I've already taught.  So it looks like I'll be moving back to the Dallas area.  I'm SO excited and can't wait.  Shreveport is an okay place to be but it has just brought about so much misery and depression with me.  I couldn't take it any more.  After the relationship ended, I just couldn't find happiness in being single here.

So things are happening really fast.  I'm moving my stuff over there in a week.  I've gotten several offers for places to live and I'm not sure which one I'm gonna take.  That's still up in the air.  I'm not planning on moving all of my stuff to Dallas again.  It's going back in my storage unit and I'm just taking the things I need.

I've got a week to spend as much time as possible with my friends here.  They are sad that I'm leaving but are understanding (esp since I've done nothing but mope around the last few months).  So I'm hoping things will be better for me like they were when I use to live in Dallas.

I Want To Get Married

So I'm in Dallas for [info]lit75248's wedding.  It's been like a scene from My Best Friend's Wedding just on a smaller scale.  I'm having fun meeting everyone.

I got in last night after driving 5 hours from Monroe.  I was immediately thrust into the middle of everything (and have had a blast so far).  I joined everyone for dinner and got to meet the majority of the wedding party.  After a great dinner, I went to the presidental suite for the wedding guests and was put to work.  There were a total of 180 little cardboard brides and grooms that needed to be filled with black, pink, and cream M&M's.  It was great catching up with her family.  I finally got to bed around 1am.

This morning, I was up at 5:30am (don't ask me why) to get ready for the bridal breakfast.  We ate at a wonderful restaurant called Bread Winners. OMG ORGASM OF THE MOUTH!  After breakfast, I got to go do errands while the rest of the bride's side of the family went to a day spa.   I picked up my tux and everything fit great (I thought that I looked kind of hot).  Then I fired Compass Bank (details on that later) and then hung out with Sallye for a bit on her lunch break.

I'm now waiting around for the wedding rehearsal.  Then there's an evening of fun including the rehearsal dinner and the lingerie party.  Fun fun!
