Paradise Re-found

The book has been finished and I've opened up communication to the outside world again.

I saw the movie Hairspray tonight.  OMG It was SO good.  It's been a long time since I've been that happy about a movie.  Afterwards I came home and immediately proceeded to download the soundtrack from iTunes.  I will totally be seeing it again.

I just got from Walmart.  OMG Harry Potter fans were everywhere.  It was a little disturbing actually.  Driving up, I saw a woman reading the book in her car.  I honestly don't think she was planning on leaving that parking spot until the book was read.  I went inside and it was crazy.  I can't believe that someone would go to Walmart at midnight just to buy a copy of this book.  I mean... It's just a book people. There were tons of adults that weren't accompanied by any children.  I saw a couple buying 5 books.  The man said to the women "Honey, this will be the one that we will read."  What the hell will they do with the other 4.  Frame them?

Anyway... I'm totally not like them.  I had to go to Walmart because I was out of gum.  I was sitting in my apartment at midnight and noticed that I had just eaten the last stick of Juicy Fruit.  I decided that it couldn't wait until the morning.  While I was there, I did happen to pick up a Harry Potter book.  Might as well.   Nothing freakishly wrong with that.  I'm not obsessed.   I'm not.

Thank goodness I was able to get my gum.  And since I do happen to have a copy of the book in my possession, I might as well just lock myself up in my room all weekend until I'm done reading it.

But I'm not obsessed!

I got back to Dallas from a week long "vacation."  More on that later...

When I got into town, I called lit75248 and found out that there was a party that at one of genome56's friends' place.  I headed over there and sheanabeana and green_peaches were there as well.  I REALLY wanted to go see "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and got green_peaches to go see the 12:25 am showing with me.  It was amazing.  We really enjoyed it.  Definitely bizarre and weird.  Afterwards, I headed to Walmart to purchase my copy of the new Harry Potter book.  Yes I'm a big enough fan to start reading it at 3:30 in the morning.  Let's see how far I can get before I pass out.  :-)
